Research

Her fields of specialization are applied microeconometrics and applied microeconomics. Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of labor and product market imperfections, shifts in the direction of innovation and market dynamics for both firms and workers.

She has received invitations for presentation at various high-quality conferences and have been visiting CREST (Centre de Recherche en Économie et Statistique, Paris), ZEW (Mannheim), Keio University (Tokyo) and Banque de France (Paris).

Since the completion of her PhD in 2004, she has been awarded competitive (small- and large-scale) research grants on a continuous basis: Postdoctoral Fellowship of the Research Foundation - Flanders (2004-2009), SEEK (Strengthening Efficiency and Competitiveness in the European Knowledge Economies) Research Grant - ZEW (Centre for European Economic Research), Mannheim (2010-2012), TFP Research Grant - National Bank of Belgium, Brussels (2013-2014), Fondation Banque de France Visiting Scholar Research Grant (2017 & 2019) and Horizon 2020 Grant "Raising EU productivity: Lessons from improved micro data" - European Commission (2019-2021).

She received an Incentive Grant from the School of Business and Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2023.
