Noëlle Lasseur is a PhD researcher at the department of Environmental Policy Analysis at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). Her research focuses on the analysis of socio-economic, political and policy issues of circular water governance. She will develop models that calculate the economic, social and environmental values of fresh water for the regional economy and will assess how those values are accounted in the decision-making processes. She is also focusing on the assessment of socio-economic costs and benefits associated with innovative circular water management.
Noëlle’s work is part of AquaConnect, a Dutch research programme performing multidisciplinary research to develop smart water grids for more robust future water supply in water-scarce areas.
Noëlle has a dual background in both social and natural sciences, after completing master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering at AgroParisTech, and in European Policies at Sciences Po Paris.
