Nathan Clark is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Organization Sciences at Vrije University Amsterdam. His current research focuses on disaster risk management, societal resilience, crisis governance, and humanitarian data ethics. He was the Scientific Coordinator of the EU Horizon 2020 project LINKS which investigated the ways in which risk and crisis communication can be improved to strengthen disaster resilience. He is also a senior researcher in the EU project SYNERGIES working on research towards enhancing preparedness in the face of cascading risks and hazards. He is the former Director of the Copenhagen Center for Disaster Research (COPE), and an alumnus of the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Law.
