As an external PhD candidate from the working area of criminal law I do comparative legal research in two countries governed by the rule of law: the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The research focuses on the state investigatory powers to protect national security against cyberthreats from other states. The area between criminal investigation and intelligence services, and the overlap of them.
