I am a sociologist with a research focus on migration, gender and social equality. my work centers on the lived experiences of mirginalized populations, with particular attention to Afghan women.
My current research examins "Afghan women laborers in Iran" , focusing on how legal precurity, labor exploitation, and gendered discrimination shape their everyday lives. A central concept in my work is resilience, which I approach as a practical and socially embedded coping strategy rather than an individual trait. I explore how Afghan migrant women negotiate agency, sustain livelihoods and make sense of their lives under conditions of prolonged in security.
I am particularly passionate about South-South migration and the experience of women laborers, especially in contexts that remain underrepresented in migration scholarship.
