Melissa Schönholz is a Research Assistant in the department of Environmental Geography at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). She is a member of the Technical Support Unit for the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Spatial Planning and Connectivity Assessment. The assessment aims to provide options for avoiding land and sea use change that negatively impacts biodiversity and for improving conservation planning.
