Personal information

As Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology, I've developed and am coordinating 4 courses "Psychopathology and Prevention", "Diversity in Clinical Practice", "Psychological interventions for Complex disorders" and most recently "Street Psychology". To develop this last course, I received an NRO Commenius Teaching Fellow grant. Furthermore, within the faculty of Behavior and Movement Sciences, I am involved in education innovation and curriculum development. As a researcher I mainly focus on investigating treatments for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. In this role, I'm conducting research on the effectiveness of an online intervention based on the inference based approach (IBA) for people with OCD and I'm involved in research of Dr. Tara Donker investigating Virtual Reality self-help apps for specific phobia's. Additionally, I'm involved in the MetaPsy and ReConnected consortiums within our department.
