The focus of my work is the endocrine system of zebrafish (Danio rerio), which I use as research model to understand the development of different organs and how environmental pollutants can affect these systems, leading to adverse effects in wildlife.
Research focus:
Specifically: Ecotoxicology with focus on endocrine disruption in zebrafish (Danio rerio)
Generally: (zebra-)fish biology, developmental toxicity, neurotoxicity, endocrinology, sexual development, reproduction, liver toxicity, immunotoxicity, ecology, zoology, general and marine biology, AOP concept, 3R concept, molecular pathways, biomarkers, histopathology, behavior, OECD guidelines
