Kevin Sebastian Luck is an Assistant Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he leads a team of researchers in the area of robot learning. His work spans multiple facets of deep learning and general robot learning, including the development and advancement of world models for continuous control and transparent reward modeling. A core focus of his research lies at the intersection of deep reinforcement learning and the creation of novel robot designs—creating AI, ie. assisted design methodologies and physical/embodied intelligence that enable robots to dynamically co-adapt both their behavior and morphology.
You can find up-to-date information on Dr. Luck's personal website or his labs website.
Before joining VU Amsterdam, Kevin was a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University and the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI), a postdoctoral resarcher at Edinburg University, a research intern at Facebook/Meta AI Research, a research intern/contracted Research Scientist at Google Deepmind and completed his PhD in Computer Science at Arizona State University.
