Jos van Ommeren is Full Professor of Urban Economics at the Department of Spatial Economics of the School of Business and Economics at VU Amsterdam, where he has been based since 2001. He is a fellow of the Tinbergen Institute. After studying Econometrics at the London School of Economics, he received his PhD in Economics from VU Amsterdam. He held positions at the Dutch Central Bank, the European University Institute in Italy, University College London, Cranfield University, and the Frisch Centre in Norway.
