social scientist – communication science – reasoned action approach – theory of planned behavior – message content determination – interested in the prediction of human behavior and in the impact of communication on behavior across domains (e.g., health, sustainability, economic decision-making)
My research focuses on understanding the motivations behind people's behaviors, particularly in relation to health, sustainability, and economic decision-making. Through examining these motivations, I aim to inform the design of interventions and communication campaigns that encourage shifts from unhealthy, unsustainable, or uneconomical practices to healthier and more sustainable and economical ones. I primarily use surveys and experiments guided by the Reasoned Action Approach to identify the key drivers of behavior. This provides others with insights to tailor their intervention content.
