Personal information
With a background as an existential counsellor, I am deeply interested in how people give meaning to their experiences. I enjoy exploring the stories, values, and perspectives through which individuals and communities make sense of the world, and I am motivated by understanding the human side of complex social questions.
Research
My research project Cop Connections focuses on the ways people create meaning together in their everyday working lives. Within the Dutch police organisation, I explore how both newly recruited officers and experienced serving officers navigate periods of substantial personnel change. I am particularly interested in how they relate to one another, a focus that resonates with the project’s title Cop Connections.
