Eva van Rosmalen is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Criminology at VU Amsterdam. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Rotterdam and went on to study Legal Psychology at Maastricht University. Before starting her PhD, she worked for several years as a research officer together with prof. dr. Annelies Vredeveldt, with whom she also co‑authored several scientific publications on eyewitness testimony, collaborative interviewing and expert witnesses. Alongside her research activities, Eva has built extensive teaching experience. She has taught Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Utrecht University, and later Legal Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her doctoral research focuses on bias in expert witness reports within the field of legal psychology. Her research interests include eyewitness testimony, expert witnesses, and cognitive bias.
