Chantal van den Berg is a guest lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a senior researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR), where she leads the research group on victimisation.
Her current research builds on her dissertation and focuses on (juvenile) sexual offending and sexual victimisation. Her other research interests include labour market opportunities and discrimination, sexual violence victimisation, risk assessment for (sexual) offending, and the collateral consequences of criminal convictions, particularly the Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Chantal has a strong interest in new and advanced research methods and statistics, which she applies in her research.
