Research
My research aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying Aβ-induced synaptic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease. Specifically, I aim to study the nanoscale structural differences arising from Aβ interactions in selected synapse populations, and how these changes contribute to synaptic vulnerability and network hyperactivity during the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. To achieve this, I will use multidisciplinary approaches including proteomics, genome editing, super-resolution microscopy, and electrophysiology.
