Ana Gomes Figueiredo
Associate Professor, School of Business and Economics, Economics
Ana Gomes Figueiredo’s research focuses on empirical labor economics and public policy, with particular attention to how institutional settings and policy interventions shape labor market outcomes.
Her publications examine topics such as unemployment, job search behavior, and the effectiveness of labor market policies, often using detailed administrative data and quasi-experimental methods. A key contribution of her work is identifying how individuals respond to policy incentives—for example, how benefit systems, monitoring, or activation measures influence the speed and quality of job finding.
Ana teaches currently courses on a bachelor's level at SBE.
