Curious? View an example!
Last updated on 19 June 2024
VU Reading Lists is a tool that teachers can use to clearly and quickly share educational resources such as course literature in Canvas. As a student you can then directly find and use them. This way, an article, book or knowledge clip is only one click away.

Where do you find your courses’ reading list? You will find it listed on the Canvas course page under the menu item VU Reading Lists, or by logging into vu.rl.talis.com and  searching for the reading list with the name of the course, programme or teacher. Functionalities

Personal reading goals. In VU Reading Lists you can indicate which of the literature you plan to read or which you have read already. You can also add notes on the literature that are only visible to you.

Bookmarks. You can add any title on a VU Reading List to your personal bookmarks so that you can easily find it again after the Canvas course expires.

Make a bibliography. With the export function in VU Reading Lists you can export all titles to a RIS-file with a single click, which you can then import into your favorite reference manager. This way, you can use VU Reading Lists to easily build your personal bibliography.

This handout tells you more about how you can use VU Reading Lists as a student.
