Tell us your horror story, what happened?
We used a third party tool to download data from the internet, and it worked well, but halfway through the project the data provider updates some settings but the third party tool did not, so the third party tool stopped working and the maintainer was on vacation.

We made our own code last-minute.
Was there a lesson learned? How could this horror be avoided?
Yes, be careful with what third party packages you use, especially if it's not on a proper repository or not a famous one.
