Lecturer in Academic English
Paul Robertson joined the ALP in 2023 and also works as a freelance English teacher and Cambridge speaking examiner. He studied English Literature at Durham University in the UK, and completed a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at the University of St. Andrews in 2023. His dissertation on the topic of Digital Competency won the 2024 BALEAP MA Dissertation award.
Paul began his teaching career in the UK, teaching academic English. Since then he has worked as a language teacher in Japan and Spain before settling in the Netherlands in 2016. His research interests include Digital Competency for International Students, the use of AI in academic settings and Flipped Learning.
