When we started our studies in Medicine back in 1993, we didn't know each other. Within a week this already changed, because we were assigned to the same group for labs. And because this grouping was alphabetical, almost all of our last names begin with the same letter.

During our studies we met several times a week during labs and almost daily at the lectures. There were many evening meetings and we often studied together in UB. We were also almost all roommates of each other for a while.
After college, we flew out in all directions but still kept in touch. Meeting for weekends and evenings continued, although less frequently. After completing our doctor's exam several additional studies followed, resulting in two family doctors, an ophthalmologist, an ENT doctor, two pediatricians, a rehabilitation physician and a neurologist.
Now we work in Leeuwarden, Groningen, Nijmegen, Almere, Alkmaar, Hilversum and Amsterdam. We still see each other frequently and occasionally plan a long weekend away together. Having met by chance in 1993 at the medical faculty in Van der Boechorststraat, we have grown over the years into a group of very dear friends.
