Maarten Klene

Lecturer in Academic English

Trained in English language and literature, Maarten spent the first part of his professional life as a secondary teacher in the Netherlands. The second and more recent part were spent in New Zealand and Australia, where he completed his doctorate in Education studies at Deakin university. His research interests include literacy pedagogy (especially when it involves literature and writing), critical theory (of the poststructural and posthumanist variety) and comparative education.
