HERUG AI in the Developer’s Seat
Thierry Champagne – KU Leuven & Bert Neyt - KU Leuven ICTS

‘AI’ is the new buzzword and has an impact everywhere, especially in the IT world. AI tools for developers are now available in every IDE and for every development language.

This includes ABAP, where SAP has integrated Joule, an AI assistant designed for ABAP programming, into Eclipse. With this presentation, we want to tell you about our exploration of the potential and challenges of using AI-tools for development. We will try to give you insight into our experiences with Joule and other AI assistants like GitHub Copilot and JetBrains AI.
