Eilidh Webster has worked at the VU since 2024 after moving to the Netherlands from Scotland in 2015. She is passionate about working with students from all backgrounds and enjoys working in an international environment. In addition to working with the ALP, she also teaches on the English-language programme for the Voorbereidend Jaar Anderstalige Studenten Vrije Universiteit (VASVU) where she helps former refugees develop the language skills they need to study at the VU. She has taught academic English in a variety of different contexts and countries including China, Turkey and the UK. Aside from teaching she has also worked as a learning designer, supporting academic staff from a variety of disciplines to develop effective online courses.
She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Glasgow and a diploma in teaching English to adults from Cambridge University. Her research interests include how to promote critical thinking in academic writing, designing effective online learning and incorporating technology into the classroom to improve student experience.
