Meet the Scientist
Curious about how a scientist looks at the world? And how your own perspective relates to it? During this session, you won’t just listen, you’ll actively take part in the conversation. Ask questions, be inspired, and discover new ways of looking at today’s pressing issues.
We invite researchers who are deeply engaged with society and work on current themes. There is space for everyone to join the discussion. Don’t expect a lecture, but rather an open dialogue that will challenge and inspire your thinking.
Guided tours: VU past and present
What lies behind the buildings and stories of the VU? Join one of the guided tours and explore how the campus has developed and transformed, from its architecture and surroundings to the history of the university itself.
Architectural historian Freek Schmidt demonstrates how architecture and development intersect, taking you to, among other places, the well-known lecture halls. University historian Ab Flipse guides you through the exhibition VU Heritage & History, where he brings the university’s past to life through objects from the VU collection.
