Utz Weitzel is Professor of Experimental Finance at the VU Amsterdam, Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute, and Professor of Experimental and Behavioral Finance at Radboud University. Previously he was Professor of Finance and Financial Markets at Utrecht University, director of the Society for Experimental Finance, Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Economics, and a post-doc at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management (after his PhD at the Humboldt-University Berlin).

In his current research, he focuses on topics in behavioral/experimental finance, corporate finance/management, complex systems, and metascience (meta-research).
