dr. Tomáš Baďura


Visiting Fellow, Faculty of Science, Environmental Economics

Personal information

Tomáš is a Marie Curie Fellow and a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Environmental Economics department of IVM where he primarily works on an EU-funded project Spatial non-market VAluation for Biodiversity policy (SVAB).

Tomáš’s research focuses on applied and conceptual issues surrounding the efforts to incorporate the value of nature in policy processes and decision making. He contributed to the revision of the System of Environmental Economic Accounting Experimental Accounting Ecosystem Accounting (SEEA EA) or The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) initiative.

Previous to joining IVM, Tomáš has worked at the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CzechGlobe) and at the Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment in the UK (CSERGE) at the University of East Anglia where he got his PhD. Prior to PhD Tomas had also worked as a policy analyst at the Institute for Environmental Policy in Brussels.
