, Tinbergen Institute
His main research interests are approximation algorithms and combinatorial optimization, and in particular algorithmic game theory. Over the past years, he focused mostly on flows over time and optimal stopping problems. His research is fundamental in nature, but is driven by problems observed in practice that suffer from a lack of coordination or resource limitations.
At the Vrije Universiteit, I coordinate courses and/or supervise theses in the bachelor programmes Econometrics & Operations Research, Econometrics & Data Science, and Bedrijfskunde, and in the Master programme Transportation and Supply Chain Management.
I also teach Master and PhD courses for MasterMath/LNMB, the national programme for mathematics and operations research.
