Tarun Sadana is a PhD at the department of Water & Climate Risk of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM). His research is focused on the global upscaling of a hydrodynamic model known as Hydromt-SFINCS developed by Deltares.
Tarun completed a Master of Science in Hydrology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from DCRUST University in Haryana, India. He worked as a student/research assistant on a project for the department of Water & Climate Risk where he actively contributed to a project focused on validation of a new reduced-complexity model designed for super-fast modelling of compound flooding in a dynamic way. This initial research exposure has led to his current research focus on upscaling the Hydromt-SFINCS model to a global scale.
