Personal information

Nazar is a researcher and evaluation specialist. He has completed numerous assignments in the Netherlands and the Middle East, focusing on Iraq and Syria. This included repeated work with the ILO, British Council, GIZ and UNOPS. He has successfully commissioned 15 monitoring missions of the EU funded projects in Iraq, implemented by FAO, ILO, UN-HABITAT, UNESCO, IOM and UNICEF.

Since 2023 Nazar has started teaching Migration, integration, and Inclusion as well as poverty and inequality courses at Amsterdam University – AUC. Nazar holds an MA in International Relations from Kent University and a Master of Business Administration from the Saxion University for Applied Sciences and Greenwich University. Nazar speaks Arabic, Kurdish, and English fluently and learning Dutch language
