Yudha is a PhD Candidate in the department of Environmental Economics of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His PhD research focuses on cost-benefit analysis on sand nourishment strategies under SOURCE: Sand nOURishment strategies for sustainable Coastal Ecosystems. The project involves a multidisciplinary team from applied sciences and social sciences. The main goal of the project is to formulate sand nourishment strategies to adapt our coast to the anticipated accelerated sea-level rise, providing sustainable coastal ecosystems and flood defences.
Yudha obtained a Master of Science in Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor in Economics from Universitas Indonesia. His master thesis titled Intergenerational Social Contracts for Climate Mitigations studies about the existence of a welfare improving situation using intergenerational transfers. Before joining IVM, he worked as a research associate of Institute for Economic and Social Research at Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia where he focused on green economy and climate change studies.
