Muhammad Farooq is a PhD candidate at Vrije University Amsterdam, Netherlands. His research interests include transitions in democratic and autocratic regimes and democratic support. The theoretical approaches to study these phenomena include modernization theory, political learning, and instrumentalism. Methodologically, his expertise lies is survey research such as World Value Surveys (WVS).
