Michael Jung

PhD Candidate, Faculty of Science, Mathematics

Personal information

I am a junior docent and PhD student at the VU. My PhD supervisor is Thomas Rot.

Research

My research interests range from algebraic to geometric topology. To me, using geometric and differentiable structures to derive topological properties is fascinating and radiates a certain beauty.

Teaching

My teaching roles range from teaching assistant to lecturer. I am also involved in the (re)structuring process of Bachelor programs such as mathematics and mechanical engineering. In 2022, I received my Dutch university teaching qualification.
