Mengyuan (Maggie) Zhang has been an Assistant Professor at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam in the Foundational and Experimental Security group of the Department of Computer Science since 2024. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and as an Experienced Researcher at Ericsson Research Canada.
Her research interests include security quantification, security metrics, human factors in cybersecurity, software security, vulnerability assessment, cloud computing/5G security and privacy, and applied machine learning in security.
