Personal information

Max Eyschen is a PhD candidate in the ERC project “Where are the Humanities in the Medical Humanities? How Comics Can Improve Healthcare Training, Practice, and Dissemination” at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In his research project, he focuses on theoretical engagement with the terminology and mediality of Graphic Medicine through the methodological development of a multilinguistic database. This builds on his previous research on the interplay between media, culture, and society through interdisciplinary and cross-media methodologies during his BA and MA at the University of Amsterdam’s prestigious Media Studies department. Passionate about advancing cultural and humanities studies, he is dedicated to innovative media analyses and collaborative knowledge dissemination.
