Personal information

Marina Friedrich is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science of the School of Business and Economics.

She obtained her PhD degree from Maastricht University. In her PhD thesis, she proposes bootstrap methods for trend analysis with a special focus on environmental applications. A pdf version of her thesis can be found here.

Before coming to VU Amsterdam, she did a two year PostDoc at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). During the PostDoc her research was mainly related to understanding the price development in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) for CO2 emissions.
