dr. Marc D. Bahlmann
Assistant Professor, School of Business and Economics, Management and Organisation
Marc Bahlmann's research centres on irrational decision-making surrounding innovation-decisions. For instance, he studied how venture capitalists' investments in start-ups are affected by start-up entrepreneurs' physical attractiveness and ethnic backgrounds. Also, he considered the influence of VCs' own physical attractiveness in relation to their risk-taking behaviors. Next to that, Marc studies irrational innovation decisions by CEOs and Top Management Teams (TMTs).
His research has been published in, among others, Journal of Economic Geography (Oxford Univ. Press), Industrial & Corporate Change (Oxford Univ. Press), and Industry & Innovation (Routledge).
