Dr Hung Nguyen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Environmental Economics department of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) of VU Amsterdam.
He is currently working on the Horizon Europe project PLUSChange, which aims to create strategies and decision-making processes for land use, addressing issues related to climate change, biodiversity, and human well-being. With a strong background in behaviour experiments, he investigates how economic incentives can drive sustainable behaviour among individuals, businesses, and governments.
In previous projects such as GREAT, he has done empirical studies on gender equality, farmers’ behaviours, and sustainable agriculture practices. His main focus is contributing to evidence-based policy recommendations that enhance sustainable development.
