Marjolein is endowed professor in the chair ‘Climate Change and Energy Transition’ at the law faculty of VU University Amsterdam. Her work focuses on private investments in projects required for a carbon-neutral society, within public frameworks, and legal frameworks for carbon pricing. Marjolein focuses in particular on the EU policy and legal framework for climate change and energy transition, such as the Fit for 55, Clean Energy and Decarbonisation packages, and their implementation in the EU member states.
