Lisette Dirksen is a PhD-candidate at the Criminal Law and Criminology department, Faculty of Law. She obtained her BSc in Criminology and MSc in International Crimes, Conflict and Criminology at the VU Amsterdam. She has worked as a junior lecturer at the VU Amsterdam in 2020-2021. As of 1 November 2021, she has started her PhD project ‘Risky or at risk? An empirical study of the prevention of intergenerational transmission of violent extremist ideologies through child protection measures.’
