Personal information

Lisa van Reemst is Assistant Professor at the Criminology department, Faculty of Law of VU Amsterdam. Lisa obtained her BSc in Psychology (2009) and MSc in Social Psychology (cum laude, 2010) at Utrecht University. She was an intern at the NCHSR of the University of New South Wales, Sydney (Australia), in 2010. She worked at Utrecht University, before starting as a researcher/lecturer at the Criminology department of the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2011. In March 2020, she obtained her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since 2019, she has also worked for / collaborated with the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) for research projects. Lisa started working for VU Amsterdam in April 2021. 

Research

Lisa van Reemst's research interests are aggression against employees (among which the police), employee-citizen interaction, psychological (personality etc) characteristics, and victimization.

 

Lisa is a:

Project leader for ViNe (Dutch victimology network/Kennisnetwerk Victimologie in Nederland)

Research fellow at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR)

Member of the editorial board of the 'Tijdschrift voor Criminologie'

Organising member of the 'Divisie Victimologie' of the NVC

Member of the 'kenniskring Taskforce onze hulpverleners veilig'
