Personal information

Lisa van Reemst is Assistant Professor at the Criminology department, Faculty of Law of VU Amsterdam. Lisa obtained her BSc in Psychology (2009) and MSc in Social Psychology (cum laude, 2010) at Utrecht University. She worked at Utrecht University, before starting as a researcher/lecturer at the Criminology department of the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2011. In March 2020, she obtained her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Lisa started working for VU Amsterdam in 2021. 

Research

Lisa van Reemst's research interests are aggression against employees (among which emergency responders/first responders and the police), employee-citizen interaction, psychological (personality etc) characteristics, and victimization (e.g. explaining victimization, repeat victimization, experiential expertise).

 

Lisa is a:

Project leader for ViNe (Dutch victimology network/Kennisnetwerk Victimologie in Nederland)

Member of the editorial board of the 'Tijdschrift voor Criminologie'

Organising member of the 'Divisie Victimologie' of the NVC
