Research

My PhD project from 2021 until 2025 focused on well-being, adjustment, needs and support of siblings of children with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or visual impairment (VI). My project included several studies, with the major project being the development and mixed methods evaluation of the sibling serious game 'Broodles', for siblings aged 6-9 years. See our Dutch project website: www.brussengame.nl

Currently, I hold a postdoc position in which I conduct subsequent studies on siblings of children with disabilities. This includes further evaluation and improvement of 'Broodles' and additional materials, and the development of a new sibling-tailored questionnaire.
