Research

My PhD Project focuses on well-being, quality of life and support of siblings of children with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or visual impairment (VI). My project includes several studies:

  1. Development and (cross-cultural) mixed methods evaluation of the sibling serious game 'Broodles', for siblings aged 6-9 years. See our Dutch project website: www.brussengame.nl
  2. (Longitudinal) associations between inter- and intrapersonal factors and siblings' well-being and quality of life.
  3. Psychometric evaluation of a sibling-tailored questionnaire.
  4. Mixed methods study on the support needs and available support resources for school-aged siblings.
