Keje Boersma is Assistant Professor in science communication and science-society relations at the Athena Institute of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In his research and teaching, he seeks to examine science communication, technology, and climate, nature, and the environment in light of philosophical concepts and perspectives.
He is project leader of the NWA-funded research project "Schurende Theaterdialogen" (Theater Dialogues of Dissent) that ran from March 2024 until August 2025. He wrote his dissertation about gene drive technology and environmental philosophy in the anthropocene at Wageningen University.
He teaches courses in Science Communication, Ethics of Science and Technology, and Scientific Integrity in the MPA masters programme and PhD education.
