Julia Christis is a PhD candidate at the department of Knowledge, Information and Innovation (KIN) of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Her research sheds more light on how innovative technologies, such as digital platforms or data commons, can be used to foster inter-organizational collaboration for tackling complex societal challenges related to climate change. Moreover, she is interested in understanding how interorganizational collaborations need to be designed in order to generate impactful approaches to sustainability challenges, and how such solutions can be scaled successfully.
Before joining VU, Julia obtained her International Bachelor Communication and Media, as well as her Master in Media & Business at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Here, her research revolved around responsible innovation, corporate social responsibility communication, as well as consumer behavior and activism.
Additionally, Julia worked as a marketeer and product developer for NGOs and food startups involved in social and ecological sustainability challenges.
