Juan Mendoza Rodriguez is an Associate Professor at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He holds a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2014). He has collaborated with the Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), ING bank, and the Nordic Business Ethics Initiative; and has supervised PhD candidates from different countries.

Research

Juan's research focuses on compliance and self-regulation, particularly on what may explain compliance behavior.

For Juan, compliance lies at the intersection of different disciplines, such as social psychology, economics, public policy, and law. For this reason, his publications can be described as multidisciplinary.

Teaching

Juan has designed -- and currently teaches and coordinates -- the course "Data, evidence and compliance" for the executive master on Compliance and Integrity Management.
