Jan Willem van den End is associate professor at the department of Finance of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and principal economist at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Previously he was affiliated with the Nederlandsche Credietverzekering Maatschappij (1994-2001). Joined DNB in 2001 as economist at the Financial Stability division and is currently principal economist in the Economics and Research division. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Groningen and an FRM from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. His research appears in academic journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance and International Journal of Central Banking.
