Jacopo Ballerini is a Research Fellow and lecturer in Innovation Management and Digital Transformation at the University of Turin where he also serves as a PhD candidate in a joint degree with the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He has been a marketing professional with an early career developed through years of steady managerial experiences in multinationals, such as Sony Electronics, and unicorn Startups, such as Manomano and Emplify, as a Product Marketing Manager and as Key Account Manager. After a proven record of success in managing different product categories through both traditional and digital channels, his professional career has led him to develop a particular scientific interest in the dynamics of digital marketing, online sales, and social media. He co-authored several academic studies published in international journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting, and Social Change and the International Journal of Information Management. He is an editorial board member of the International Journal of Electronic Trade.
