Ineke Maas holds an endowed chair on Long term trends in social openness and exclusion at the Department of Sociology. She is a member of the research group Social Inequality in the Life Course. Since 2018 she is vice-president of Research Committee 28 on Social Stratification and Mobility of the International Sociological Association. She is also connected to the Department of Sociology of Utrecht University.
Research
Her main research interests are international and historical comparisons of intergenerational mobility, career mobility, and marital mobility. In addition, she has published on the integration of immigrants, inequality of educational opportunities, and gender inequality.
