Gerton Rongen, MSc

Personal information

Gerton Rongen is a PhD candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PhD Fellow at the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD). His research interests include poverty, inequality and development. Some of his work so far has been on poverty dynamics and income mobility in Malaysia, adjusting survey-based measures of inequality for missing top incomes (with an application to Mumbai, India) and the impact evaluation of a water and sanitation program in Durban, South Africa. Moreover, Rongen is interested in perceptions of inequality and the political implications of inequality.
