Frédérique Six is Associate Professor of Public Governance at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the VU Amsterdam. Her research interest lies in resilient public governance challenges in general and more specifically the contingent relationship between trust and control. The focus is on the relation between control- and trust-oriented policies and practices; trust and regulatory enforcement; trust in and within regulatory regimes; and trust in, within and between (public) organisations. She has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative (comparative) research methods.
She was recently actively involved in the H2020-SC6-GOVERNANCE-01-2019: Trust in Governance and Regulation in Europe consortium (TiGRE, 2020-2023), grant agreement nr 870722
She has a long-standing and fruitful collaboration with the University of Antwerp and is a visiting professor in the University of Antwerp’s Centre of Excellence Trust and distrust in multi-level governance (GOVTRUST).
