I have a fascination for the basic principles of life, using methods from systems biology and biophysics. I mostly focus on unraveling basic mechanisms of microbial growth and regulation of metabolism and protein expression, using experimental, computational and theoretical methods. Our lab has expertise on experimental microbial physiology, genome-scale stoichiometric modelling, stochastic theory, differential equation and stochastic dynamic models, fluorescence microscopy of microbial growth and reporter protein expression and software development.
